How do patient outcomes in spine surgery compare to other surgeries?

Despite significant advancements in medical technology and surgical techniques, we understand that there is considerable room for improvement. We therefore endeavour to address the existing challenges and provide innovative solutions to optimize patient care.

Clear performance gap between spine, hip and knee surgery!
A landmark study from the Schulthess Klinik (Zurich, Switzerland), and winner of the EUROSPINE best paper award measured and compared a patient experience performance indicator – Patient Accepted Symptom State (PASS) for patients undergoing lumbar spine, hip and knee surgery.

Time to remove our rose-tinted spectacles: a candid appraisal of the relative of surgery in over 4500 patients with degenerative disorders of the lumbar spine, hip or knee.

IN MEMORY

Max Christen (1953–2025)
Co-Founder, Former CEO, Board Member

We say goodbye to Max Christen – our great friend, co-founder of Nexon, industry pioneer, and mentor to many.

This past weekend, Max passed away unexpectedly. His impact on the spine world is hard to overstate. Over the past 20+ years, Max trained and shaped countless professionals around the globe – first as Head of Europe at Synthes, later as an international sales trainer, and most recently as co-founder and CEO of Nexon.

Max was a builder. Of businesses, of teams, of people. Those who had the chance to work with him know what he stood for: Clarity, energy, and an unshakable belief in potential – especially that of others. He led Nexon from day one until the start of this year – and remained a valued board member, sparring partner, and friend.

We will miss Max deeply. Our thoughts are with his family and those who were close to him – both personally and professionally.
